Aloha Shriners Host Second Annual Easter Family Day at Shriners Beach Club

Under sunny skies and surrounded by the spirit of fellowship, the Aloha Shriners proudly hosted their Second Annual Easter Family Day at the scenic Shriners Beach Club—an event made even more special through a meaningful partnership with the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of the State of Hawaii.

This year’s celebration was especially vibrant, as it coincided with the conclusion of the Grand Lodge of Hawaii F&AM’s 2025 Annual Communication, which aligned beautifully with the Easter weekend. The event brought together Aloha Shriners, Masons from across Hawaii, visiting Masonic dignitaries from around the world, and their families for a joyful day of camaraderie and celebration.

A warm aloha was extended to our visiting brethren from Japan, including a strong showing from the Aloha Shrine members of Japan, among them Noble Yutaka Yagi and Noble Taiki Ogawa, who currently serve as Grand Master and Junior Grand Warden of Japan, respectively. Their presence added a special international spirit to the festivities.

We were also honored by the attendance of Imperial Sir Dale Vrsalovich, Imperial Outer Guard of Shriners International, a longtime supporter and regular attendee of Hawaii’s Spring events. His continued involvement reflects the strong and enduring bonds between Shriners from across the globe.

The afternoon featured a delicious lunch and overflowing potluck, where dishes of all kinds reflected the diversity and warmth of our Masonic ohana. But it was the children who truly stole the show during the Easter egg hunt, a highlight of the day filled with laughter and excitement.

And of course, the Easter Bunny made a cheerful appearance, delighting the keiki and delivering on his annual promise—thanks in no small part to the incredible work of one of Aloha Shrine’s newest and most spirited units: the ACT (cosplay) unit, led by Noble Jack Hobbs. Their creativity and planning brought that extra bit of magic to an already unforgettable day.

This year’s Easter Family Day was a testament to the power of unity, tradition, and joy. Mahalo to all who helped make it a success—we’re already looking forward to next year!
