We were delighted to welcome the leadership of Aahmes Shriners of Northern California during their recent visit to Hawai‘i. The visiting nobles included Potentate Leo Bautista, Assistant Rabban Patrick “Pat” Quinn, High Priest & Prophet Romeo “Romy” Damiles, and Oriental Guide Pompei Festejo.

Their visit began with a memorable Sunday gathering at our Temple (Chapter) property, where nobles and their ladies enjoyed a day of fellowship by the beach — complete with delicious food, laughter, and camaraderie.

On Monday, the group embarked on an in-depth tour of Shriners Children’s Hawai‘i, exploring the many departments that make the hospital an essential resource for keiki across the Pacific. A special highlight of the visit was an unexpected meet-and-greet with Dr. Jennifer Weiss, Chief of Staff, and Hawai‘i’s only pediatric orthopedic surgeon accredited in sports medicine.

This meaningful visit not only strengthened the bonds of friendship between our Shrine Temples (Chapters) but also reaffirmed our shared dedication to the mission of Shriners Children’s — delivering world-class care to children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate, regardless of the families’ ability to pay or insurance status.
