The Aloha Shriners holds a responsibility unlike any other Shrine Temple (Chapter) in the world. As the only Temple formally assigned to support Shriners Children’s Hawaii, the Aloha Shriners helps serve a medical jurisdiction that spans not only Hawaii, but the entire Pacific Basin — an area larger than the contiguous United States. From remote island communities throughout the Pacific, children and families travel thousands of miles to Honolulu in search of specialized pediatric care.
For more than 100 years, the Aloha Shriners have helped shoulder the burden of making that care accessible. The Temple has long supported transportation costs for patients and guardians traveling from neighbor islands and to Hawaii for life-changing treatment, ensuring that distance and financial hardship do not prevent children from receiving the care they need.
What makes this mission especially meaningful is that many members may never personally meet the children and families they are helping. Yet they continue to give their time, resources, and support knowing that their contributions are changing lives not just for individuals, but for entire families and communities throughout Hawaii and the Pacific.
The work of the Aloha Shriners is more than charity — it is a legacy of compassion and service that has impacted generations. Across thousands of miles of ocean, the dedication of the Nobles of the Aloha Shriners continues to bring hope, healing, and opportunity to children throughout the Pacific Basin.
