On Saturday, September 28, 2024, the Aloha Shriners and Shriners Children’s—Hawaii proudly participated in the 76th annual Aloha Festivals Floral Parade. This beloved event marks the official conclusion of the month-long Aloha Festivals celebration, culminating in a spectacular display of Hawaiian culture as it winds its way through the beautiful streets of Waikīkī.
The Annual Floral Parade is renowned for its stunning floats, each intricately adorned with a vibrant spectrum of fresh flowers that celebrate the natural beauty of our islands. As always, the parade featured elegantly dressed riders on horseback, showcasing the traditional art of pāʻū riding. The skill and poise of these riders added an enchanting touch to the festivities, honoring a cherished Hawaiian custom.
As the parade progressed, a diverse array of participants contributed to the festive atmosphere. Marching bands filled the air with lively music, while hālau hula dancers captivated onlookers with their graceful performances, each dance telling a unique story from Hawaiian history and tradition.
