Aloha Shriners Volunteer at ESPN Honolulu Sports & Food Festival to Support Shriners Children’s Hawaii

The Aloha Shriners proudly participated in this year’s ESPN Honolulu Sports and Food Festival, lending their time and energy to support one of the community’s most exciting annual events. Members volunteered throughout the day assisting with event setup, guest check-in, maintenance, and general operations, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

As a result of their efforts, ESPN Honolulu will be donating $1,000 to help fund patient transportation for children receiving care at Shriners Children’s Hawaii—a meaningful contribution that helps local families access the specialized pediatric care their keiki need.

The free, family-friendly festival drew over 4,000 attendees to Downtown Honolulu, where families enjoyed an incredible mix of sports, food, and fun. Highlights included sports clinics in baseball, football, and soccer, a basketball shootout contest, cornhole tournaments, mini-putt, and even a human claw machine.

Fans also had the chance to meet and greet University of Hawai‘i athletes, who held autograph sessions throughout the day. The streets were lined with more than 30 food and retail vendors, offering a true taste of Hawai‘i’s local flavors and culture.

The Aloha Shriners were honored to be part of such a vibrant community event that promotes family, fitness, and fellowship—all while helping to make a difference for children and families served by Shriners Children’s Hawaii.
