Recently, members of the Aloha Shriners embarked on an exciting journey to Reno, Nevada, for the 150th Imperial Session of Shriners International. This annual gathering serves as an annual meeting for Shriners worldwide, celebrating our commitment to fun, family, fellowship, and philanthropy, all while focusing on our mission to support children’s healthcare at Shriners Children’s.
Throughout the Imperial Session, the Aloha Shriners participated in a variety of events that highlighted the depth of our fraternity’s dedication. Members engaged in the Shriners International Education Foundation Membership Summit, where they exchanged ideas and insights with hundreds of Shriners from across the globe, fostering meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
A highlight of the session was the formal awards banquet of the Shriners International Membership Hall of Fame, where the Aloha Shriners proudly received the Platinum Award for Membership, the Creation Excellence Certificate, and Conversion Excellence Certificate, recognizing our outstanding achievements.
In addition to attending daily meetings where important business was conducted, the Aloha Shriners took time to explore the vibrant city of Reno and the serene beauty of Lake Tahoe. While our chapter did not participate in this year’s parade, members thoroughly enjoyed watching Shrine Temples from around the world march through the city center, showcasing their unity and spirit.
As the weeklong festivities came to a close, the Aloha Shriners left Reno with hearts full of camaraderie and a renewed commitment to our mission. We eagerly anticipate next year’s Imperial Session in Atlanta, GA, and invite those interested in joining us to visit ImperialSession.com for more information as it becomes available.
Our time in Reno was not just a celebration of our past achievements but a reaffirmation of our dedication to making a difference in the lives of children and families through the values of Shriners International. Mahalo to everyone who made this memorable experience possible, and here’s to many more years of service and fellowship ahead!
