Located in Kanagawa Prefecture on the island of Honshu, the Sakura Shrine Club (formally the Yokohama Shrine Club) was chartered on March 23, 2017 by Illustrious Potentate, Christopher A. Acosta and Chief Rabban, Mark P. Leo. Also present at the chartering ceremony were the Grand Master of Hawaii, Andrew L. Geiser (2016-2017); Senior Grand Warden of Japan, Atsushi Takahashi (2016-2017); Senior Grand Warden of Hawaii, Wilson S. Camagan (2016-2017), as well as many other distinguished Shriners. The founding President of the Sakura Shrine Club is Norihiro Inomata, Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Japan, who was also the sitting Grand Master of Japan during the club’s chartering. The members of the Sakura Shrine Club are local business leaders and professionals in their communities, who all seek to better themselves and the communities in which they live.
